Postdoctoral position
Motivated candidates are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position at the electronic structure theory group at UB Physics Department. The successful candidate will be involved in developing new theoretical methods for calculating defect properties in solids beyond conventional density functional theory, and investigate several outstanding defects related solid state problems. This project is a joint effort between research groups at RPI, MIT, Princeton, and UB, therefore providing unique opportunities to collaborate with world class experts at these institutions. The applicants should be familiar with first-principles electronic structure theory and methods. Knowledge of defect theory and many-body perturbation theory such as the GWA is desirable.
